‘Brothers In Arms’ – Superlek Details Close Relationship With Muay Thai Legend Liam Harrison

Superlek Kiatmoo9 Tagir Khalilov ONE Fight Night 12 70

Superlek Kiatmoo9 has legions of fans around the world, and one of the biggest is fellow ONE Championship superstar Liam Harrison.

The English legend is always quick to praise “The Kicking Machine,” and he continues to back his friend ahead of Superlek’s ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title challenge of Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE Friday Fights 34 on September 22 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Superlek and Harrison have spent a lot of time training together in Bangkok, and the Thai striker was pleased to hear kind words from the Brit.

He spoke to onefc.com about their tight-knit relationship and expressed gratitude to Harrison for the support before his long-awaited showdown with Rodtang at the famed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

“The Kicking Machine” said:

“My thanks go to Liam for spending his time training and sparring with me. Thanks to him for seeing the value in me and praising me. I am thankful.”

Although Superlek is already the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion and regarded as one of his generation’s greatest strikers, he remains humble and willing to listen.

That’s how his relationship with Harrison formed, as the pair sparred and exchanged techniques with one another to grow mutual respect.

This later extended to a friendship when “Hitman” returned the favor and helped Superlek when the latter traveled to fight in the United Kingdom.

The Thai recalled:

“Our relationship is like brothers in arms. We train together and learn from each other. I love to learn from good fighters. When Liam comes to train with me, it’s an opportunity for me to learn from him.

“I used to compete in his home in the UK, where he took good care of me. He asked me what I wanted to eat and took me there.”

Superlek Staying Focused Ahead Of World Title Fight With Rodtang

Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Liam Harrison have thrilled millions of fans around the globe with their performances in kickboxing and Muay Thai, and they have made those performances possible with hard work inside the gym.

Harrison’s high-octane style requires a relentless gas tank and plenty of courage – and that’s what “The Kicking Machine” has seen whenever they’ve shared the mats.

Superlek revealed:

“Liam is disciplined in his training and determined. When he sparring, he never backs down from the fight.”

Meanwhile, it’s clear that Harrison believes Superlek has the skills and ability to dethrone Rodtang at ONE Friday Fights 34.

But while “The Kicking Machine” appreciates that support, he won’t allow any predictions to change his preparation. Instead, he’s refusing to be distracted and vowing to leave everything in the ring on September 22.

Superlek added:

“Thank you [for predicting my victory], Liam, but it’s impossible to know. I’m very focused. I’ll do my best, but whether I win or lose is another thing.”
