Nong-O, Sam-A, Other Muay Thai Stars Added To Stacked ONE Friday Fights 81 On September 27
Four elite Muay Thai battles have bolstered the massive ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut lineup on September 27.
Some of the sport’s most iconic World Champions have been added to the Asia primetime event at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, alongside surging contenders who are aiming for the top.
Former longtime ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama is returning to action against unbeaten Russian phenom Kiamran Nabati.
Nong-O is the most dominant figure in the division’s history with eight World Title victories that included a string of five consecutive finishes.
The Thai legend lost the belt to Jonathan Haggerty in 2023 and was defeated by Nico Carrillo later that year but then rebounded with a strong showing against “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai this past April.
In the other corner, Nabati is looking to keep his unbeaten record intact by taking another huge scalp.
At 21-0 with three wins in ONE, the 29-year-old wants to punch his ticket into the bantamweight Muay Thai rankings by claiming a milestone win against the current #2 contender.
Another former ONE World Champion is making his return on September 27 as Thai icon Sam-A Gaiyanghadao will lace up the gloves against Akram “La Pepite” Hamidi.
Sam-A was the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion, as well as the inaugural ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, with his only recent losses coming to current pound-for-pound great Prajanchai PK Saenchai.
At 40 years old, Sam-A is an elder statesman in a strawweight Muay Thai division filled with rising stars, but he wants to prove he can still hang with the hungry contenders.
For his part, Hamidi is exactly that.
At 25 years old, the Algerian sees a big future for himself in the strawweight ranks. With knockouts in both his ONE wins and a decision loss to Prajanchai the only blemish, he has the skills to push the veteran in this high-profile opportunity.
Suablack Tor Pran49 and Kulabdam will duke it out in the bantamweight Muay Thai division, with both men eager to get back on track.
Suablack raced to a 6-0 start in ONE with four KOs, and after his first promotional loss to Nabati this past June, he’s motivated to resume his ascent.
Meanwhile, two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kulabdam had a five-fight unbeaten streak snapped with back-to-back losses, but the powerful slugger is only ever one punch away from ending a match.
Finally, Shadow Singha Mawynn will face off against Mohammad Siasarani at featherweight.
Former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Shadow has earned impressive back-to-back wins following a debut defeat, meeting the lofty expectations that followed him into the world’s largest martial arts organization.
However, he’ll have a tough battle against Iran’s Siasarani, who has gone 4-0 in ONE so far, including a career-best win over Thai great Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in his last outing.
These four fights add to a stacked card that is headlined by Superbon vs. Jo Nattawut and also features Takeru Segawa vs. Black Panther and Hiroki Akimoto vs. Ilias Ennahachi.
