3 Fights Featuring Young Stars Hyu, Shimon, And Adrian Lee Added To ONE 172 In Japan

In addition to the five World Title clashes and a monumental headlining super-fight, ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang will also feature a trio of young phenoms competing in intriguing matchups.
The blockbuster event goes down on Sunday, March 23, at Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
Undefeated rising star Adrian “The Phenom” Lee will look to continue his climb up the global MMA ranks when he squares off with fellow unbeaten talent Shozo Isojima in a lightweight tilt.
The younger brother to reigning two-division MMA king Christian “The Warrior” Lee, the 18-year-old Adrian has looked nothing short of dominant through two fights and two finishes in his professional career, displaying a well-rounded skill set and ruthless submission instincts.
“The Phenom” has all the makings of a future ONE World Champion, but he’ll have to get past the 27-year-old Isojima, who boasts a pristine 5-0 career record and will be fighting on home turf with a partisan Japanese crowd behind him.
In flyweight Muay Thai action, 20-year-old Japanese striker Shimon Yoshinari aims to announce himself as an undeniably elite talent when he goes toe-to-toe with decorated Thai Yodlekpet Or Atchariya.
Shimon dominated the Asian Muay Thai scene before making his ONE debut last December, knocking out battle-tested veteran Rittidet Sor Sommai at ONE Friday Fights 92.
He would certainly make waves in ONE if he can take out Yodlekpet on March 23.
Known as “The Destroyer,” the Thai is a former Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion renowned for his devastating punching power and all-action approach to combat – and now represents the stiffest test of Shimon’s career.
Finally, the 22-year-old Hyu Iwata looks to be Japan’s next kickboxing superstar, and he’s set to collide with Morocco’s Zakaria El Jamari in an explosive flyweight scrap.
A gifted athlete with the world-class technical skills to match, Hyu owns an unblemished 10-0 professional record that includes a pair of dominant performances at ONE Friday Fights.
Standing across from him will be a respected veteran in El Jamari.
The 35-year-old possesses crispy-clean boxing, stunning power, and a proven willingness to trade leather in the heat of battle – skills that set the stage for a barnburner with Hyu.
