Anane vs. Soe Lin Oo, Suakim vs. Waghorn, Jaosuayai vs. Suriyanlek Added To ONE Friday Fights 81
Three explosive Muay Thai matchups featuring established veterans and surging contenders have been added to ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut on September 27.
Topped by a blockbuster matchup between Thai fan favorites Superbon and “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, that event will go down in Asia primetime at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The already stacked card will now see the return of 20-year-old phenom Nabil Anane, as he’s set to take on Myanmar’s Soe “Man of Steel” Lin Oo in a pivotal bantamweight clash.
A towering striker with serious power in all eight of his Muay Thai weapons, Anane comes into the contest on a four-fight winning streak and fresh off the biggest victory of his career.
At ONE Fight Night 24, the Thai-Algerian scored an emphatic decision win over former two-time ONE World Title challenger Felipe “Demolition Man” Lobo, earning the #3 spot in the bantamweight Muay Thai rankings.
Anane looks poised to continue his meteoric rise, but he’ll face a stiff test in the form of Soe Lin Oo.
The 32-year-old striker reeled off three consecutive victories at ONE Friday Fights – all by way of highlight-reel knockout – to secure a six-figure contract and a spot on ONE’s global roster.
Now, with both men rapidly climbing toward a World Title opportunity, they will each try to derail the other’s hype train.
In 140-pound catchweight action, undefeated British sensation Otis Waghorn will square off with decorated Thai veteran Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin.
The 22-year-old Waghorn shined in his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 67 with a knockout win over Kongklai Sor Sommai. He hopes to vanquish another Thai star and keep his unblemished record intact against Suakim.
However, the 28-year-old Thai is a veteran of more than 200 professional fights, is a former three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, and represents the toughest challenge of Waghorn’s career.
Also, Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi and Suriyanlek Por Yenying will both look to assert themselves as serious threats on the global stage when they collide in a 133-pound catchweight bout that promises fireworks.
A hard-hitting, well-rounded fighter who refuses to take a step back, Jaosuayai will meet a willing dance partner in the explosive Suriyanlek, who could make it three in a row and move one step closer to a six-figure contract with another win.
