The 32-year-old made a cautious start to the contest and allowed the Brazilian to come forward so he could counter with single shots – including several hard low kicks.
Stoica looked most dangerous when he began to respond with heavy hooks, and he used that approach with more regularity as the clock ticked into the second minute.
Silvas’s guard was not tight enough as shots started to connect flush on his chin, and he was in serious trouble when “Mister KO” wound up a huge left hook and leaped forward to unleash the powerful strike onto his opponent’s head.
“Braddock” was on wobbly legs as he backed up against the fence, and then crumpled onto the canvas when he was struck on the button by a rocket of a right hand.
Though the New Level Academy and TFT representative got up to meet referee Atsushi Onari’s count, he could not recover his footing, and the official had no choice but to wave off the match after just 117 seconds.
It was the SUPERKOMBAT Super Cruiserweight World Champion’s 29th KO win of his career, which improved his record to 51-12.
Now riding two consecutive wins in ONE Super Series, he called for a shot at new ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion, Roman Kryklia, in his post-match interview.
