Chingiz Allazov Vs. Marat Grigorian World Title Bout To Headline ONE Fight Night 13
Two of the planet’s most dangerous pound-for-pound strikers are officially set to clash in the main event of ONE Fight Night 13 on Prime Video at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
On August 4, newly crowned ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Chingiz Allazov will defend his gold against all-time great Marat Grigorian in a U.S. primetime matchup that promises fireworks.
This won’t be the first meeting between these two elite knockout artists.
In April 2013, “Chinga” and Grigorian squared off in a battle that ended in a disappointing no contest. They would rematch eight months later, with Grigorian earning a decision victory.
Now a decade later, with both men firmly established as the best among the best, they will go to war once again – this time with 26 pounds of gold on the line.
A two-time K-1 World Champion before joining ONE, Allazov comes into the matchup riding an impressive four-fight unbeaten streak.
During that dominant run, the 29-year-old brawler won the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Championship and then captured the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title with a highlight-reel knockout of Thai superstar Superbon Singha Mawynn.
The Azerbaijani-Belarusian titleholder will now defend his crown against Grigorian, a man widely regarded as one of the best kickboxers in history.
A former three-time Glory Kickboxing World Champion and currently the division’s #2-ranked contender, the Armenian has won three of four electrifying bouts inside the Circle, losing only to Superbon in a World Title shot.
Allazov and Grigorian are both known for their big power, a penchant for trading strikes in the pocket, and seemingly granite chins, so fans can expect an all-out firefight on August 4.
