Chuang Kai Ting Bringing New Tricks To Take Out Janet Todd
ONE: MASTERS OF DESTINY will see a new and improved version of one of the most explosive kickboxers in ONE Super Series.
“Killer Bee” Chuang Kai Ting proved she was one of the fastest strikers in the world when she burst onto the global stage last year and captured the ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Title, and now she is ready to win it back.
Her first step toward that goal will come against Janet “JT” Todd next Friday, 12 July at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
A win on 12 July against Janet Todd will catapult "Killer Bee" Chuang Kai Ting to a possible World Title rematch against Stamp Fairtex!🗓: Kuala Lumpur | 12 July | 6PM | ONE: MASTERS OF DESTINY🎟: Get your tickets at 👉 http://bit.ly/onemastersofdestiny19📺: Check local listings for global TV broadcast📱: Watch on the ONE Super App 👉 http://bit.ly/ONESuperApp 👨💻: Prelims LIVE on Facebook | Prelims + 2 Main-Card bouts LIVE on Twitter

Chuang has been out of action since last October because of some hand injuries, and she cannot wait to get back in the ring and compete. She also is excited to show off the improvements she has made.
“I believe I have made some progress since I’ve focused on training my kicks,” she says.
“Also, I believe I developed a more mature mind than before – I know how to control my pace and do exactly what I want to in the ring.”
“Killer Bee” is also looking forward to the opportunity to face an athlete she respects, and is likely to give her an action-packed and competitive bout.
The Chinese star was impressed by what she saw when Todd took Stamp Fairtex five rounds in her debut in The Home Of Martial Arts in February.
“I am really looking forward to it – I will enjoy the match, and I should be able to give my fans a memorable match,” she adds.
“She is a really good fighter, I have watched her fights, and her physique is incredible. Her combinations are really good, and her rear kick is very good, too.
“As you know, this time I have been working on my skills, so I will show you what I have been working on. I have enjoyed preparing for this fight, and I believe I can put on a really good performance, so it will be an exciting bout.
“She is a great fighter, but I have confidence in myself too. Anything is possible.”
Another thing that has the 24-year-old fired up for her date in Malaysia is the chance to get redemption for her team.
In Todd’s last encounter, she defeated “Killer Bee’s” Iron Boxing teammate Wang Chin Long via TKO in the second round.
“[Wang] is younger than me, I call her my sister in my team, and she didn’t have a lot of experience,” Chuang says.
“When I watched her fight, I felt like I could get revenge for her. We are like family, so I will fight for her and the team.”
The final thing on the former World Champion’s mind ahead of next Friday’s contest is what she has to do to get the belt back.
A victory against another woman who came so close to clinching the gold will show that Chuang is still one of the top names in her weight class in the world, and she deserves the chance to claim the biggest prize in martial arts once again.
When asked if she thinks she can secure a shot at the World Title in Kuala Lumpur, she is certain.
“Of course – I have confidence in myself. I think this time I really made some good progress [in training], and I have more space to grow in the future. Also, my team really support me, so I feel happy,” she says.
“There are many people that support me. My fans and my team have given a lot, so I don’t want to let them down.”
