Three Athletes Awarded $50K Performance Bonuses At ONE 164
Three competitors walked away from ONE 164: Pacio vs. Brooks with US$50,000 performance bonuses for their unforgettable finishes on Saturday, December 3.
ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong gave bonuses to Filipino upstart Jeremy Pacatiw, Team Lakay phenom Jhanlo Mark Sangiao, and Russian striker “Samingpri” Tagir Khalilov for their thrilling stoppage victories at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Pacatiw brought the Manila crowd to its feet with a sensational second-round submission of Myanmar athlete Tial Thang.
After an action-packed first round, “The Juggernaut” latched onto a tight triangle choke early in the second round to secure the first finish of his ONE Championship career and a well-deserved bonus.
Sangiao impressed in the featured bout of the lead card, picking up a massive win over Anacleto Lauron.
The 20-year-old rising star dominated his foe on the ground before sinking in a fight-ending rear-naked-choke to earn a cool US$50,000 and improve to 5-0 in professional MMA.
Khalilov was awarded the first US$50,000 bonus of the card for his phenomenal showing against promotional newcomer Chorfah Tor.Sangtiennoi.
The highlight-reel finish came in the first round of their Muay Thai contest, thanks to a perfectly placed uppercut that put the Thai athlete on the canvas, giving the Russian his first win inside the Circle.
