Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 106 On May 2
Twelve intriguing martial arts matchups featuring world-class fighters are heading to the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok in Asia primetime on Friday, May 2.
ONE Friday Fights 106 will kick off a doubleheader of combat sports action, with ONE Fight Night 31: Kongthoranee vs. Nong-O II on Prime Video taking place later that day in North American primetime.
In the main event, Thai brawler Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree looks to give a rude welcome to highly touted promotional newcomer Suksawat PK Saenchai in the pair’s 140-pound Muay Thai clash.
The 28-year-old Panrit has seen ups and downs in his 10-fight run at ONE Friday Fights, and at one point, he had put together a four-bout winning streak.
But after suffering defeats in his last two outings, the ultra-aggressive Superbon Training Camp representative is determined to bounce back and take out one of Thailand’s top rising stars – the 24-year-old Suksawat.
Before that, fans won’t want to miss the 113-pound Muay Thai clash between surging Thai strikers Petbanrai Singha Mawynn and Banluelok Sitwatcharachai.
Both athletes have impressed so far in their still-young ONE tenures, with each man coming into the contest on a two-fight winning streak. A win for either fighter – particularly if it comes by way of highlight-reel knockout – would move him substantially closer to a coveted six-figure contract.
Lower on the card, teenage phenoms Rustam Yunusov and Alfie Ponting will throw down in a flyweight Muay Thai contest that has fireworks written all over it.
Russia’s Yunusov boasts an unbeaten career record that includes a trio of thrilling victories at ONE Friday Fights, and he’ll come into this bout following his first finish in the organization.
Standing across from him will be the 19-year-old Ponting. Although the the heavy-handed Brit lost a hard-fought majority decision in his promotional debut last August, he remains one of Muay Thai’s most talented young athletes.
And in flyweight MMA action, Mongolian-Russian striking specialist Chayan Oorzhak aims to rebound from his first defeat in ONE when he faces Venezuelan standout Eubert “Speed” Gomez.
Oorzhak rattled off three straight victories to begin his ONE tenure, impressing fans with his high-octane striking and fearless pursuit of the knockout.
While Gomez will be making his ONE debut, he’s already done plenty to establish himself as one of South America’s elite mixed martial artists – and his well-rounded skill set could take him far on the global stage.
