Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 12 On April 7
ONE Friday Fights 12 will offer up another thrilling edition of the weekly event series this Friday, April 7.
The 12-bout card at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, features an array of established World Champions alongside the hottest rising stars in Muay Thai and mixed martial arts.
In the headline affair, Petsukumvit Boi Bangna and Kongthoranee Sor Sommai each return for a flyweight Muay Thai showdown after producing stunning finishes in their latest outings.
Petsukumvit is 2-0 in ONE following his second-round stoppage of Petchmuangsri Tded99 at ONE Friday Fights 8, while Kongthoranee earned a second-round KO of Gingsanglek Tor Laksong in his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 6.
Both men are Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champions at the top of their games, and they know that another statement victory would put them closer to the division’s top-five rankings.
Just before the main event, Sunvo TDed99 will make his ONE debut against Petlampun Muadablampang in a 130-pound catchweight Muay Thai matchup.
Petlampun announced his arrival in the organization at ONE Friday Fights 8 with a highlight-reel knockout of Rambong Sor Therapat, so he’ll be aiming to continue his positive momentum.
Back in the flyweight Muay Thai ranks, fellow Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Mohawk Ngorbangkapi meets Dentungtong Singha Mawynn in a clash between athletes from two of the best gyms in Thailand.
Mohawk represents PK Saenchai and Dentungtong represents Singha Mawynn – both of which are home to a number of elite ONE fighters – so they will be well prepared for their debuts on the global stage.
Three more all-Thai battles in “the art of eight limbs” are booked for April 7.
Khunsuk Sor Dechapan and Kohtao Petsomnuk will throw down at atomweight, Tubtimthong Sor Jor Lekmuangnon will face Petchnumchai Sor Jor Tongprachin at a catchweight of 122 pounds, and Chalawan Ngorbangkapi will meet Zeta Chor Chokamnuay at a catchweight of 124 pounds.
Before that, four international Muay Thai contests will take place, featuring competitors from multiple continents against hometown Thai heroes.
At bantamweight, Tapaokaew Singha Mawynn takes on decorated French striker Rafi Bohic, who’s claimed eight Muay Thai World Titles in his career.
Road To ONE: Thailand Champion Yodphupa Wimanair is looking to extend his unblemished record on the main roster when he takes on Italian striker Samuel Toscano in a bantamweight Muay Thai battle.
The 19-year-old Yodphupa earned an exciting decision victory over Ilyas Musaev in his first ONE Championship appearance, but Toscano could make a name for himself with an upset win over the surging phenom.
Also, Samingdam Looksuan welcomes Iranian Javad Bigdeli in a flyweight bout, while Nongam Fairtex squares off against Hong Kong’s Chu Nga Sze in a 110-pound catchweight tussle.
Finally, two exciting featherweight MMA contests are set to open the show.
Malaysian veteran Keanu Subba faces Kyrgyzstan’s Nurzaman Eshbaev, and Korea’s Do Gyeom Lee takes on Brazilian Guilherme Antunes in the curtain-raiser.
