Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 38 On October 27
ONE Friday Fights 38 looks set to deliver another epic lineup of martial arts action in Asia primetime on October 27.
The 11-bout card features nine elite-level Muay Thai contests and two exciting MMA show-openers that are sure to thrill the crowd at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the main event, Otop Or Kwanmuang will face Ilyas Musaev in a bantamweight Muay Thai clash.
Teen phenom Otop is coming off an impressive debut win over Shingo Shibata at ONE Friday Fights 33, as he demolished the Japanese striker with three knockdowns in under a minute.
The Sor Sommai representative is the reigning Thailand National Champion at 140 pounds, and many insiders are predicting a massive future for him in ONE Championship.
However, Musaev is a tough matchup for any bantamweight on the roster, with an unorthodox style that will provide a fresh test for Otop.
Although the Russian has hit a skid since his debut knockout win over Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree, he’s gone the distance with world-class opponents such as Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai and Ferrari Fairtex.
Before that, Pompet PK Saenchai and Chorfah Tor Sangtiennoi will duke it out in a 132-pound catchweight Muay Thai encounter.
Pompet has posted a perfect 2-0 slate in ONE Friday Fights, including his knockout debut against Duangsompong Jitmuangnon in May, but he’ll have his hands full with grizzled slugger Chorfah.
With two Rajadamnern Stadium Fight of the Year accolades to his name – including one against current ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon – Chorfah will bring his trademark intensity to the ring.
It will be intriguing to see whether Pompet’s slick skills and strong clinch are enough to stop his compatriot’s aggressive advances.
Other crucial battles include the 127-pound catchweight Muay Thai tussle between Singdomthong Nokjeanladkrabang and Stephen Irvine – both 2-0 in ONE Friday Fights – and an interesting matchup between 16-year-old prodigy Yodsingdam Keatkhamtorn and Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Chalawan Ngorbangkapi.
In the opening MMA bouts, Filipino-Kiwi veteran Mark Abelardo faces Russia’s Georgy Shahruramazanov at bantamweight, while Filipino competitor Fritz Biagtan meets Indian debutant Deepak Bhardwaj at flyweight.
