Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 44 on December 8
On December 8 in Asia primetime, the world’s largest martial arts organization will once again touch down at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, for a fight card loaded with elite martial artists.
Headlined by a striking matchup designed for fireworks, ONE Friday Fights 44 offers fans nine intriguing Muay Thai bouts and a trio of MMA contests.
In the main event, Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri and Ilyas Musaev – two of Muay Thai’s most talented young stars – will go to war as each man hopes to earn a coveted six-figure contract with ONE Championship.
At just 21 years old, Yod-IQ already owns 117 career victories, including a pair of sensational wins at ONE Friday Fights. While the Thai stumbled in his most recent outing, he’s proven to possess the refined counter-striking and devastating kicking game to compete at the highest level.
Standing across from him will be Russian knockout artist Musaev, who hopes to keep his momentum going after scoring a highlight-reel stoppage of Otop Or Kwanmuang in the first round.
Before that, Rittidet Sor Sommai will look to build on his back-to-back knockout victories when he squares off with well-rounded competitor Pompet PK Saenchai in an all-Thai clash between representatives from two of the country’s most respected Muay Thai gyms.
Lower on the card, 19-year-old Italian prodigy Lenny Blasi, fresh off a stunning knockout of Nonthakit Tor Morsri, will face perhaps the stiffest test of his career against explosive Turkish brawler Ferzan Cicek.
Both bantamweight Muay Thai fighters have shown to have ruthless finishing instincts, but they each need a win to prove they can consistently compete on the global stage.
And in notable MMA action, Filipino rising star Fritz Biagtan returns against promotional newcomer Babar Ali.
Boasting a 2-0 record at ONE Friday Fights with a 100 percent finishing rate, Biagtan is quickly making a name for himself as one of the flyweight division’s most promising athletes.
Ali is an electrifying finisher in his own right, though, and he could make waves by derailing his opponent’s hype train.
The lineup also features the returns of strawweight Muay Thai scrapper Yuly Alves, surging Team Lakay MMA product Carlo Bumina-ang, and local hero Avatar PK Saenchai.
