Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 55 On March 15
ONE Friday Fights 55 is ready to ignite Lumpinee Boxing Stadium with another thrilling card on March 15.
This week’s Asia primetime event in Bangkok, Thailand, is packed with 12 bouts that feature some of the most exciting competitors on the roster competing in Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA, and submission grappling.
At the top of the bill, Avatar PK Saenchai and Kiamran Nabati will go head-to-head in a bantamweight Muay Thai battle that is sure to cap off the proceedings in style.
Avatar will enter amid an impressive run of four consecutive victories in ONE Friday Fights, including his knockout win over Antar Kacem last time out.
The 30-year-old Thai has shown amazing resilience to bounce back from defeats in his first two contests, and he’s now one of the division’s most in-form competitors.
On the other side, Nabati is back for his second appearance in the world’s largest martial arts organization and hopes to keep his perfect 19-0 professional slate intact against another elite foe.
The Russian debuted with a victory over four-time Muay Thai World Champion Pongsiri PK Saenchai last September, immediately announcing himself as a threat to the top tier.
Given the recent results and come-forward styles of both men, this main event promises to feature nonstop action with potential implications for the division’s upper echelon.
Earlier, three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Panthep VK Khaoyai will look to build a winning streak when he faces Bhumjaithai Mor Tor 1 in a 122-pound catchweight Muay Thai showdown.
Panthep rebounded from a stoppage loss to Stephen Irvine with a strong showing against Chalamkhao PK Saenchai in September, putting his ONE record back in the black at 2-1.
Another win would continue to right the ship for the decorated striker, but Bhumjaithai is eager to claim his first victory in ONE against a big name to show he belongs among the best.
In the lone kickboxing clash, #3-ranked flyweight contender Taiki “Silent Sniper” Naito returns to the ring against Sherzod “Lion” Kabutov.
Naito has taken on a who’s who of the division’s finest athletes, but with back-to-back defeats in Muay Thai bouts, the Japanese star will hope to reverse his fortunes when he dons the big gloves once again.
Kyrgyzstan’s Kabutov is also desperate for a successful outing after coming up narrowly short against a long line of tough opponents, so both men will be fighting with something to prove.
In the only MMA clash, Brazil’s Matheus Pereira will face Russia’s Khasan Khaliev at lightweight, while fans in Asia primetime will be treated to a rare submission grappling contest in an all-Japan battle between Shoya Ishiguro and Toshiyasu Sagae at bantamweight.
