Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 74 On August 9
On August 9, ONE Championship will touch down at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, for another action-packed installment of the organization’s weekly event series.
Set to air live in Asia primetime, ONE Friday Fights 74 will showcase many of the planet’s most entertaining martial artists throwing down in intriguing matchups designed to deliver fireworks.
In the main event, Iranian phenom Parham Gheirati will look to secure a coveted six-figure contract and a spot on ONE’s global roster when he squares off with Road to ONE Thailand Champion Yodphupa Petkiatpet in a bantamweight Muay Thai tilt.
At just 20 years old, Gheirati has already established himself as a true world-class striker, boasting four wins in as many appearances at ONE Friday Fights. He knows another impressive victory would do wonders for his future in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
However, Gheirati’s hard-hitting style will be tested against a well-rounded master technician in Yodphupa.
The highly touted Thai has shown flashes of brilliance across his eight bouts at ONE Friday Fights, and he’s undoubtedly hungry to prove himself in front of a raucous Bangkok crowd.
Lower on the card, two of Thailand’s finest young talents will collide in a 112-pound catchweight Muay Thai contest, as Chatpichit Sor Sor Toipadriew meets Khunsuk Sor Dechapan.
Chatpichit has put on electrifying performances in all three of his ONE Friday Fights battles but is still in search of his first knockout.
Khunsuk, meanwhile, owns four highlight-reel finishes across five wins at ONE Friday Fights and looks to have all the makings of a future ONE World Champion.
In more bantamweight Muay Thai action, Russian knockout artist Kirill Khomutov will take on Ferzan “The Boogeyman” Cicek in a bout that promises to be a barnburner.
Both men have found success at ONE Friday Fights, and given each fighter’s fearless approach to combat and willingness to engage in a brawl, fans can look forward to white-knuckle action for as long as this contest lasts.
The card will kick off with a can’t-miss strawweight MMA showdown, as undefeated Filipino rising star Moises “The Lion King” Lois Ilogon returns for his sophomore outing at ONE Friday Fights to battle promotional newcomer Lee Seung Chul.
Lois Ilogon shined in his ONE debut last November at ONE Friday Fights 39, scoring a spectacular third-round knockout to keep his hype train rolling and his unbeaten streak alive.
Lee, though, will come into the clash riding a seven-fight winning streak – all via stoppage – that established him as one of South Korea’s most promising mixed martial artists.
