Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 75 On August 16
There’s another exciting bill lined up for the Asia primetime audience at ONE Friday Fights 75.
The August 16 card is stacked with 10 Muay Thai contests and two MMA bouts that promise to deliver nonstop action for the fans at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the main event, Kompet Fairtex faces Omar “Ironside” El Halabi in a 127-pound catchweight Muay Thai battle.
Two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kompet has won four straight bouts since his debut loss against Prajanchai PK Saenchai.
His dominant form has been impressive, and with a previous victory over the reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion, the 24-year-old will hope to secure a rematch with his old rival by continuing to rack up victories.
On the other side, El Halabi’s intense pressure style will ask big questions of Kompet – especially in 4-ounce gloves.
The Lebanese striker defeated decorated Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Yodthongthai Sor Sommai with blistering punches and low kicks, and he showed he’s not afraid to walk through heavy weapons to get close.
Kompet would be a huge scalp for “Ironside” and the biggest win of his career, so he’ll be hungry to seize the opportunity this Friday.
Before that, Petgarfield Jitmuangnon will look to extend his unbeaten ONE run when he throws down with Buakhiao Por Paoin in a 141-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout.
The Jitmuangnon representative is returning to ONE Friday Fights for the first time in 2024, but he has a great springboard to work from with his 2-0 slate so far.
At 2-1, Buakhiao has tasted success and defeat against some solid opposition. If he can build a two-fight winning streak this week, he’ll be in a good position to aim for the big names.
Earlier in the evening, two former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champions will showcase their skills in a pair of Thailand vs. Russia encounters.
Khunsuek Superbon Training Camp faces Mamuka Usubyan in a featherweight tilt after Chanajon PK Saenchai meets Denis Burmatov at lightweight.
A pair of strawweight MMA contests will open the show with an international feel.
Brazil’s Robson de Oliveira will take on Azerbaijan’s Rahil Baghirov in a battle of debutants, and Russia’s Torepchi Dongak will clash with Japan’s Ryosuke Honda, with both men looking to improve their 2-1 MMA records in ONE.
