Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 77 On August 30
ONE Championship is back at Lumpinee Stadium on August 30 with another action-packed installment of its weekly Asian primetime series in Bangkok, Thailand.
This week, ONE Friday Fights 77 will deliver 11 Muay Thai bouts and an MMA contest in what is sure to be a thrilling showcase of international talent looking for the life-changing US$100,000 contract to the world’s largest martial arts organization.
In the main event, four-time Muay Thai World Champion Yodlekpet Or Atchariya faces two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongsuk Fairtex in a 137-pound catchweight Muay Thai battle between two men with momentum on their side.
Yodlekpet is fresh off an impressive unanimous decision victory over Komawut FA Group this past June, the fifth win of his memorable ONE Friday Fights run to date.
But to register win number six in the weekly series, the 29-year-old will have to overcome Kongsuk, who is chasing his third-straight win as he builds his own case for a lucrative contract to join ONE’s global roster.
The 24-year-old is 4-2 under the ONE Friday Fights banner so far, and he has already scored victories over Petsukumvit Boi Bagna and Joachim Ouraghi in 2024.
Before the headliners lock horns, Rambong Sor Therapat will aim for his sixth-straight win when he takes on Longern Sor Sommai.
After alternating wins and losses at the beginning of his ONE Friday Fights journey, Rambong has built a compelling case for a six-figure ONE contract in the past 12 months.
Among the victims during his stellar five-fight hot streak is contracted fighter Jiduo Yibu. And most recently, Rambong outpointed Laos star Muanglao Kiattongyot at ONE Friday Fights 66.
Waiting in the wings to steal Rambong’s momentum, however, is Longern.
After scoring a crushing first-round knockout over Karim Dahou in his first outing, the 25-year-old has since dropped a pair of close decisions against top competition.
The hard-hitting Sor Sommai gym representative will be desperate to get his campaign back on track, and a win over the surging Rambong would catapult him into the reckoning for a berth on the ONE roster.
In flyweight MMA action, Kazakhstan’s Bolat Zamanbekov and Russia’s Valmir Galiev are sure to open the card with a bang, as both men aim to impress in their respective ONE Friday Fights debuts.
