Gafurov, Tynanes, Saadulaev, More Added To ONE: COLLISION COURSE
ONE Championship is gearing up for its final live event of the year.
The world’s largest martial arts organization returns to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the last time in 2020 with ONE: COLLISION COURSE, which will be aired live to a worldwide audience on Friday, 18 December.
After several months, fans will finally see ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao defend his belt against ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament winner Rodlek PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym in the headline attraction.
Additionally, the rest of the card is stacked with mixed martial artists who are looking to make a lasting impact on the global fan base before turning the page to 2021.
The co-main event of the night features undefeated Hawaiian sensation Lowen Tynanes facing former ONE Featherweight World Champion Marat “Cobra” Gafurov.
Tynanes has been truly spectacular in his career. Since making his professional debut in September 2011, the American has earned a perfect 10-0 record, which includes victories over former lightweight king Eduard “Landslide” Folayang and former ONE World Title challenger Koji “The Commander” Ando.
Following his first-round TKO victory over Honorio “The Rock” Banario in the opening round of the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix in January 2019, Tynanes was forced to withdraw from the field due to a catastrophic back injury that had previously caused him to take a break in his career.
Fortunately, the Hawaiian grappler is healed and hoping to pick up another dominant victory before positioning himself for a run at the ONE Lightweight World Title in 2021.
Although Tynanes will be aiming to keep his spotless slate intact, Gafurov has visions of staining it and derailing his foe’s momentum.
Gafurov was once among the most devastating forces in the featherweight division.
The Dagestani joined the world’s largest martial arts organization as an undefeated warrior in October 2014 and proceeded to rattle off six consecutive victories – all via rear-naked choke – while claiming the ONE Featherweight World Title.
Though “Cobra” eventually lost his crown and experienced some adversity, he remained determined to move up a weight class in the hopes of becoming a two-division ONE World Champion.
And if he ultimately ruins Tynanes’ perfect record, Gafurov could find himself on the path toward lightweight gold.
The stacked undercard of ONE: COLLISION COURSE also features the return of #3-ranked bantamweight contender Yusup “Maestro” Saadulaev, undefeated American dynamo Troy “Pretty Boy” Worthen, and Cambodian hero Chan Rothana.
In fact, this card will even have some hometown flavor, as Singapore’s own Amir Khan makes his return.
The Evolve star most recently defeated Rahul “The Kerala Krusher” Raju and dedicated the record-setting knockout victory to his ailing father, Tajudeen, who was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. There is no doubt Khan will look to put on a show for his dad once again.
Following the success of ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX, ONE: COLLISION COURSE will continue ONE’s partnership with the Singapore government to pilot the return of live international sports productions.
ONE: COLLISION COURSE includes 250 in-person “Superfan” ticket packages priced at $188 SGD each, which come with premium socially distanced seating and exclusive ONE merchandise worth over $80 SGD.
