Helena Crevar Returns To Face Paige Ivette Clymer In Submission Grappling Action At The Inner Circle On July 17
The reigning pound-for-pound queen of women’s grappling officially has a date for her sophomore appearance on the global stage, as Helena Crevar will welcome Paige Ivette Clymer to ONE Championship at The Inner Circle on Friday, July 17.
These two stars will compete in a 10-minute openweight submission grappling contest, which streams live from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium exclusively for members of The Inner Circle at live.onefc.com.
At just 19 years old, Crevar has already established herself as the new face of women’s submission grappling.
A 2025 IBJJF No-Gi World Champion and the youngest podium placer in ADCC history, the Las Vegas native is widely regarded as one of the most complete grapplers in the world today.
Under the guidance of John Danaher at Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu in Austin, Texas, Crevar continues to add layers to her already formidable game. The teen star’s physically imposing stature is backed by crushing pressure, a brilliant top game, and suffocating back control.
Beyond that, Crevar constantly attacks from guard, and she relentlessly hunts sweeps and submissions from the bottom. Her leg entanglements rank among the best in the sport today, with opponents who stray too close to her trap often finding themselves tapping to textbook foot locks before they realize the danger.
Crevar unleashed that dreaded arsenal in her promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 39 this past January. She needed just 100 seconds to dismantle Hawaiian powerhouse Teshya Noelani Alo with a slick Estima Lock, leaving no question as to why she sits at the summit.
Now, the Kingsway standout returns with her sights set on an even more commanding performance and with the intention of making a compelling case for a ONE World Title shot in the very near future. However, she goes head-to-head with a dangerous promotional newcomer who arrives with nothing to lose.
Clymer, who picked up BJJ in 2016, was initially drawn to the sport because she had ambitions of competing in MMA and wanted to develop an all-around game.
The San Diego native quickly discovered that her true calling was on the mats, and she committed herself entirely to the craft. Sharpened by the brilliant coaching mind of Keenan Cornelius at Legion American Jiu Jitsu, she rapidly climbed the ranks.
Titles soon followed. Clymer claimed the 2019 SOGI Women’s Absolute Championship and the 2021 IBJJF No-Gi World Title in the purple belt division. In May 2024, she finally earned her black belt, and last month, she won the 2026 ADCC West Coast Trials.
On the mat, Clymer is relentless and aggressive. An all-action pressure passer with intricate guard work and sharp heel hooks, she sets a punishing pace built to break structure, deny space, and finish.
This all-American collision pits the Kingsway system against the Legion machine in what promises to be a fascinating test of contrasting philosophies.
Clymer steps into the ring with momentum behind her, but standing in her path is a generational talent still rewriting the limits of the sport.
