‘I Will Give It My All’ – Kulabdam Aims For Contract-Winning Performance Against Felipe Lobo

Two-time Lumpinee Stadium World Champion “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai is setting his sights on a six-figure contract when he faces #3-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Felipe “Demolition Man” Lobo at ONE Friday Fights 114.
The high-stakes main event will take place on June 27 at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
For the 26-year-old Thai standout, this fight represents much more than another opportunity to showcase his devastating skill set. It’s his chance to potentially earn a spot on ONE’s global roster and compete for life-changing money on the world’s biggest martial arts stage.
Kulabdam is riding a three-fight winning streak, scoring impressive victories over Ferzan Cicek, John Lineker, and Suablack Tor Pran49. Throughout the run, he’s impressed fans and pundits with his electrifying performances and knockout power to emerge as one of the most entertaining strikers in the division.
He recently spoke to onefc.com about what this next opportunity means to him:
“I’m very happy because Felipe is a ranked fighter. I think the promotion must see something in me to match me up against Felipe.
“If I can win impressively, I might get to go to compete as a contracted ONE athlete again. It’s a great honor to be the main event, and I will give it my all to live up to this opportunity.”
The seasoned Muay Thai veteran has done his homework on Lobo’s fighting style. Known for his boxing prowess and dangerous left hand, the Brazilian has built his reputation on well-timed counters and explosive finishing power.
Kulabdam respects his opponent’s abilities but believes his own deeply rooted background in traditional Muay Thai will be the difference-maker when they clash at the sport’s most sacred venue:
“He’s a counter-fighter who waits for his opponent to kick and then counters with his left punch. All his past knockouts have come from that left punch. His speed is also dangerous; he moves in and out quickly.
“But I’m not worried because I’m confident my Muay Thai experience will handle him. I haven’t seen any obvious weaknesses in him yet, but once we’re in the ring, I believe I’ll be able to spot them.”
The stakes couldn’t be higher in this showdown. A dominant performance against a ranked contender like Lobo might just secure the main roster contract he’s been chasing for the past two years.
And if the stars align, Kulabdam envisions a potential rematch with current ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane:
“If I win impressively, I believe I’ll definitely win the contract because Felipe is a ranked fighter. And who knows, I might even get a chance to rematch with Nabil for the vacant title.”
Kulabdam Predicts Explosive Finish
Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai has earned his “Left Meteorite” nickname with a plethora of spectacular knockouts, and he’s confident this fight will produce another highlight-reel finish.
Known for his patient, tactical approach in the opening frame, Kulabdam believes the action will heat up quickly once he’s gathered the necessary information about his foe’s tendencies:
“There’s an 80 percent chance the fight won’t go the distance. It will probably end in the second round because I like to observe in the first round. But if he comes out strong in the first round, then I’m ready to go for the finish.”
A decorated veteran with more than 100 professional fights on his resume, Kulabdam possesses big knockout power in both hands, but he’s particularly confident in his ability to end fights when his opponents make critical mistakes.
He said that fans shouldn’t blink at ONE Friday Fights 114:
“If [Lobo] makes a mistake and gets hit by my punch, he’ll definitely go down. But I won’t underestimate him because his punches are good too. However, I’m confident in my own punches. It just depends on who makes the first mistake.”
