‘I Will Have A Surprise’ – Chingiz Allazov Preparing Unique Game Plan For Superbon

Chingiz Allazov earns the title at ONE X: Part I

Top-ranked contender Chingiz Allazov promises to have something special in store for Superbon Singha Mawynn when they clash for the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship.

On September 30, the pair will face off in the co-main event of ONE on Prime Video 2: Xiong vs. Lee III, and “Chinga” can’t wait to challenge the division’s reigning king live in U.S. primetime.

Allazov dominated the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix to earn this World Title shot, and with gold in his sights, he’s preparing new tactics to overcome the Thai superstar.

The 29-year-old said:

“I have been waiting for this fight. I think Superbon is a good fighter, he has a good style. He is really a clever fighter and has good timing. I like this fight, and my team and I are only focused on this. I will have a surprise for him when we meet.”

Following a close decision loss to Enriko Kehl in his ONE debut, Allazov found his stride in the massive Grand Prix tournament, knocking out Samy Sana and Jo Nattawut, before upsetting Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong to claim the silver belt.

In each match, the Azerbaijani-Belarusian striker displayed a different approach, and he plans to continue that evolution in his next appearance.

“Chinga” said:

“My last two or three fights, I have said I have a surprise for my opponents. My last fight with Sitthichai, I said, ‘I have a surprise for him. I am not the same fighter I was before with him. I am another Chingiz Allazov.’ Now, we have a good plan for Superbon.

When I go to fight with Superbon, I want him to say after the first round, ‘Oh, what happened? He has a lot of speed, a lot of power, a lot of things.’”

Chingiz Allazov Believes ‘Focus’ Is The Key To World Title Victory

While Chingiz Allazov plans to bring the heat from the opening bell at ONE on Prime Video 2, he knows the reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion will also bring plenty to the table.

Superbon proved that when he claimed the belt by knocking out legendary striker Giorgio Petrosyan and then dominated pound-for-pound great Marat Grigorian in his first defense.

Still, Allazov is extremely confident after an incredible run of form, and he expects to have the edge on September 30.

He said of Superbon:

“He has good kicks, I have the same good kicks. He has good boxing, but I have two-to-three times better boxing than him, and more power than him. In this sport, it comes down to who is clever, who is more powerful, who has more timing, and who has a good game plan.

“I am focused on him completely. I will not fight him like I have fought the others. I will work with him. Maybe if he makes a mistake, maybe I can land a kick or punch that will get a knockout.”

ONE’s featherweight kickboxing division is one of the most stacked in all of combat sports, and Allazov is excited by the chance to sit on its throne.

There are many elite opponents to face if the World Grand Prix Champion also wins the gold, but he knows that any distractions leading up to this challenge could be fatal.

“Chinga” added:

“Now I have the fight with Superbon, and Inshallah, I will take the belt. I will go to fight and I will go to victory. After that fight, maybe I will fight Grigorian, Petrosyan – all the fighters who want to fight with me.

“Now, my concentration is 100 percent on the fight. If he doesn’t have the same focus, then I will kill him. The same for me, if I don’t have focus, then I will have a problem.”
