Johan Ghazali And Johan Estupinan Set To Collide In Must-See Muay Thai Fight At ONE 170
An explosive Muay Thai match between two of the sport’s most electrifying young talents is heading to ONE 170 on January 24.
Live in Asia primetime, 18-year-old Malaysian-American prodigy Johan “Jojo” Ghazali will square off with undefeated Colombian knockout artist Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan in a pivotal flyweight tilt at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand
Simply put, the battle of Johans has fireworks written all over it.
In one corner, Ghazali is talented beyond his years, boasting an impressive 6-1 record in ONE with five highlight-reel stoppages.
A heavy-handed, forward-marching brawler who rarely takes a step backward, “Jojo” rebounded from a decision loss to veteran Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat by scoring a dominant first-round knockout win over Mexico’s Josue Cruz in September at ONE 168.
Ghazali is often hailed as the next Rodtang Jitmuangnon and continues to aim for the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title picture, but he’s in for a dangerous and unpredictable challenge against Estupinan.
With his pristine 26-0 professional record and a high-flying, acrobatic style of striking, “Panda Kick” has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
Making his promotional debut this past May at ONE Friday Fights 64, the 22-year-old berserker has now tallied four straight wins and three knockouts, most recently putting away Moroccan star Zakaria El Jamari in a wild, back-and-forth brawl at ONE Fight Night 25.
Estupinan’s unorthodox and crowd-pleasing approach to striking should make for an intriguing stylistic clash against Ghazali’s impressive fundamentals and show-stopping power.
What’s more, the winner of this clash at ONE 170 will emerge as a serious contender in the talent-packed flyweight Muay Thai division and make their case to meet a top-five opponent next.
