Liam Nolan And Wondergirl Both Added To ONE Fight Night 19 On February 16
Two more exciting battles have been added to the card for ONE Fight Night 19: Haggerty vs. Lobo on Prime Video in Bangkok, Thailand.
“Lethal” Liam Nolan will face Nauzet Trujillo in a lightweight Muay Thai clash, while Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak and Dayane “Day Monster” Cardoso will square off in a women’s strawweight mixed-rules battle.
Both contests will air live in U.S. primetime on Friday, February 16.
Nolan returned from a frustrating absence due to illness and injury at ONE Fight Night 18 in January, taking a convincing decision over Ali Aliev and looking like he’d never missed a beat
The Brit made it back-to-back wins with the impressive performance, and he believes another victory would push him toward the division’s top dogs.
With his friend and teammate Jonathan “The General” Haggerty also defending the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title against Felipe “Demolition Man” Lobo in the main event of ONE Fight Night 19, Nolan will be eager to kick-start a successful night for Knowlesy Academy.
Standing opposite him, Trujillo is seeking his first ONE win following a decision loss to Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong in his debut last August.
The 34-year-old Spaniard built up an impressive reputation on the European circuit, but he wants to prove he can hang with the best strikers on the global stage.
Popular Thai star “Wondergirl” is returning for another hybrid-style matchup when she battles Cardoso in a mixed-rules contest between two striking specialists.
Their four-round matchup will alternate between Muay Thai and MMA rounds – similar to Demetrious Johnson vs. Rodtang Jitmuangnon in 2022 – and it will be declared a draw if there is no knockout or submission.
“Wondergirl” came up short in her special rules striking match against ONE Women’s Strawweight MMA World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan last year, as the pair boxed in smaller 4-ounce gloves.
But after competing for most of her life in Muay Thai and more recently in MMA, the 24-year-old will have all of her weapons available this time.
However, Cardoso is a formidable foe.
The hard-hitting Brazilian has seven finishes among her nine MMA victories, with five of them coming via KO – including her debut win over former ONE World Title challenger Ayaka “Zombie” Miura back in 2022.
“Day Monster” is more experienced in mixed martial arts, while “Wondergirl” has the edge in stand-up contests, making for an intriguing clash on February 16.
