Mahmoudi Vs. Mongkolpetch To Headline ONE: FULL BLAST II
ONE Championship began its FULL BLAST event series with an exciting night of fights, and now, the promotion is gearing up for its fiery sequel.
The world’s largest martial arts organization will premiere the tape-delayed ONE: FULL BLAST II on Friday, 11 June, and the headline attraction features a heated Muay Thai showdown between #4-ranked flyweight contender Elias “The Sniper” Mahmoudi and Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy.
Mahmoudi holds a 32-4 professional record, which includes massive victories over Japanese sensation Yukinori Ogasawara and Muay Thai legend Lerdsila Phuket Top Team.
The only loss of his ONE Super Series tenure came at the hands of Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy, who defeated the French-Algerian striker via technical decision to win the inaugural ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title in May 2019.
The 23-year-old Paris native won’t rematch Petchdam in the ONE: FULL BLAST II main event, but he’ll attempt to earn some redemption when he takes on the Thai’s veteran teammate in a catchweight affair.
Mongkolpetch may not be ranked in the flyweight division’s top five just yet, but he will bring a tremendous amount of veteran experience into this battle as he looks to take his rival’s spot in ONE’s Athlete Rankings.
The Bangkok resident is a former Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion who owns an astonishing 114-40-2 career slate. Moreover, he has been flawless in ONE Super Series, earning three victories on the global stage.
Should Mongkolpetch defeat Mahmoudi, the Petchyindee Academy camp would make it 2-0 against the French-Algerian. And more importantly, whoever emerges victorious will get closer to a shot at ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon.
Take a look at the entire ONE: FULL BLAST II lineup below.
