Nong-O Gaiyanghadao Vs. Alaverdi Ramazanov World Title Fight Moved To ONE Lumpinee 1
Nong-O Gaiyanghadao‘s ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title defense against Alaverdi Ramazanov will now serve as the main event for the historic ONE Lumpinee 1 card in Bangkok, Thailand.
The pair were originally booked for ONE on Prime Video 6 on January 13, but their hard-hitting clash has been pushed back a week to Friday, January 20.
Given Nong-O’s extensive Lumpinee Stadium history, this matchup will be a fitting climax to the promotion’s inaugural show at the iconic venue.
Before he joined ONE Championship and claimed the gold, the Thai legend was already one of the most decorated athletes in his sport’s history.
His long list of accolades includes Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Titles in four divisions, as well as multiple Fighter of the Year awards for his performances there.
But while Nong-O has competed at home in Thailand several times since joining ONE Championship, it’s been eight years since he stepped through the ropes in the stadium where he became an icon.
Meanwhile, Ramazanov will face a daunting task when he battles the Thai superstar in front of a roaring Bangkok crowd.
The former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion is in solid form with back-to-back wins over Pongsiri PK.Saenchai and Capitan Petchyindee. Now, the Russian will aim to deliver an upset with his tricky style and concussive punches.
However, Nong-O has looked unstoppable in recent times, earning a perfect 9-0 slate in ONE Championship, which includes seven World Title wins and four straight KOs.
This historic matchup is sure to produce a fiery battle between intense strikers who won’t take a backward step, and they’ll be eager to throw down after two previously scheduled encounters that never came to fruition.
