Ondash Passes Toughest Test Yet Against Kongchai

Ramadan Ondash overcame the sternest challenge of his career when he secured a unanimous decision win over Kongchai Chanaidonmueang in the evening’s strawweight Muay Thai main event.

The fight kicked off at a rapid rate. But as the first round wore on, Ondash chose to fight conservatively against his foe’s hell-for-leather approach.

That didn’t last long for the Lebanese slugger, though, as he quickly reverted to his aggressive ways in the second frame.

Ondash appeared briefly overwhelmed by Kongchai’s high kicks, but he responded with combinations, then sat the Thai down with a looping left hook.

In need of a finish, Kongchai went on the hunt in round three. “The Scorpion” was fatigued, but he avoided the onslaught and countered well to take the unanimous decision win.

With the victory, Ondash moved to 11-2 overall and 3-0 in ONE Championship.

The Turkish slugger controlled the early exchanges with powerful right kicks while cleverly masking his most dangerous weapon.

That strategy paid off in the second round. Worapon threw a low kick, but “Golden Boy” countered with a thunderous right hand that sent the Thai fighter crashing to the canvas.

Worapon beat the count and rallied in the third round to dominate the clinch with sharp knees and elbows that earned him a knockdown of his own.

However, Sen’s early dominance and precision secured the nod from the judges in the end. The win was his third in a row in ONE Championship, and it pushed his record to 23-9 overall.

Two thunderous right hands floored Chalie again. Though he rose to his feet once more, Rocky’s relentless body shots and a devastating right hand to the head sealed the finish at 0:33 of the second frame.
