ONE Championship’s Singapore Athletes Return To Evolve
Many of ONE Championship’s Thailand-based martial arts superstars are preparing for their respective bouts at ONE: NO SURRENDER in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, 31 July.
But almost 2,000 kilometers south, most of the promotion’s star athletes in Singapore are resuming their training routines at Evolve MMA with the hopes of stepping back into the Circle in the near future.
Evolve re-opened its doors to fight-team members and students alike on 20 June, nearly two and a half months after “The Lion City” was put into lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Now, just one month since the mega gym’s re-opening, it appears that Evolve’s athletes are getting back into tiptop shape.
In the Instagram video clip above, several of ONE’s most prominent martial arts heroes are seen walking through the doors of the Singaporean gym with face masks on.
Those heroes include ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, two-sport ONE World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, Amir Khan, Alex “Little Rock” Silva, Troy “Pretty Boy” Worthen, Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat, and Eko Roni Saputra.
However, once they are inside the gym, all eight of them can be seen with their gloves on and re-sharpening their elite skills.
It is wonderful to see all of those athletes working hard at Evolve, and there is no doubt the global fan base will be excited to see them compete again in The Home Of Martial Arts.
