‘Reug Reug,’ Buntan, More Added To Stacked ‘ONE On TNT IV’
ONE Championship will close out the first season of “ONE on TNT” with a bang when “ONE on TNT IV” airs live on United States prime-time television next Wednesday, 28 April.
In addition to a ONE Light Heavyweight World Title main event between Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang and Vitaly Bigdash, an explosive trilogy bout between Asian legends, and the return of Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez, fans will be treated to three exciting matchups featuring some of the fastest-rising stars in martial arts.
Opening the “ONE on TNT IV” main card will be “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane.
The undefeated Senegalese wrestling sensation has been absolutely dominant since making the switch to mixed martial arts. He’s steamrolled all of his opponents to date, including Patrick “Big Swiss” Schmid at “ONE on TNT I” earlier this month.
This time, “Reug Reug” will welcome dangerous Belarusian Kirill Grishenko to the Circle. Like Kane, the 29-year-old Grishenko has gone unbeaten since transitioning to the all-encompassing sport, earning three dominant first-round victories.
Meanwhile, Jackie Buntan will make her return on the Bleacher Report lead card.
The Filipino-American, who trains alongside ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Janet “JT” Todd at Boxing Works, made a shocking promotional debut when she stopped the meteoric rise of Wondergirl Fairtex in February.
This time, Buntan will don the 4-ounce mixed martial arts gloves and go toe-to-toe with Ekaterina “Barbie” Vandaryeva.
The last time fans saw the tall Belarusian was when Todd knocked her out with the head kick heard around the world. Although Vandaryeva won’t be standing across from “JT,” she can earn some redemption by taking out a Boxing Works teammate.
Leading off the show will be Colbey Northcutt.
The American karate superstar was originally scheduled to fight Sovannahry “The Sweet Savage” Em, but a shoulder injury forced the Cambodian-American flyweight to withdraw from the contest.
Instead, Northcutt will meet Courtney “No Mercy” Martin in a catch weight bout of 60.6 kilograms.
