Rodlek To Replace Injured Saemapetch In Muay Thai Tournament Final
Rodlek PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym has been given a second chance to fulfill his ONE World Title aspirations.
The man known as “The Steel Locomotive” will replace the injured Saemapetch Fairtex in the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament and face the division’s #3-ranked contender, “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai, in the final.
The tournament winner will then receive an opportunity to challenge ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao later in 2020.
Rodlek and Saemapetch went toe-to-toe in the tournament semifinals at ONE: NO SURRENDER II, where the Fairtex representative did just enough to leave the ring with a majority decision victory.
Unfortunately, Saemapetch suffered an injury soon after and was forced to withdraw from the tournament.
That allowed “The Steel Locomotive” to rejoin the action and slide into the final.
Standing across from Rodlek will be Kulabdam, who earned his spot in the final by knocking out top-ranked contender “The Million Dollar Baby” Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort in the other semifinal matchup at ONE: NO SURRENDER III on Friday, 21 August.
A date for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament final has not yet been confirmed, but stay tuned to ONEFC.com for more details.
