‘She’s Probably The Worst’ – Jihin Radzuan Thinks Recent Opponents Were Better Than Stamp Fairtex

Malaysian MMA fighter Jihin Radzuan makes her way to the Circle at ONE X

Jihin Radzuan is gearing up for the biggest fight of her MMA career, and she plans to make the most of this opportunity.

On September 30, the rising Malaysian will face Thai megastar Stamp Fairtex in an atomweight clash at ONE on Prime Video II: Xiong vs. Lee III, knowing that her opponent’s massive fan base will bring extra attention to this contest.

Moreover, their high-profile matchup will take place in U.S. primetime, but Jihin is not feeling any extra pressure or stress.

Instead, she’s simply concentrating on the factors within her control and can’t wait to step inside the Circle at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The 24-year-old said:

“I wouldn’t exclusively say that Stamp is going to be the most important fight – I think every fight is important – but in terms of building my brand, I think this is the best fight.

“My opponent is a big name, and I love fighting against big names. But at the end of the day, I have to believe in myself, believe in my teammates and my coach, and not worry too much about who or how big my opponent is.”

Jihin is on a three-fight winning streak that’s seen her claim the #5 atomweight ranking and take out some top contenders along the way.

Now, she’ll square off against #1-ranked Stamp, who previously held World Titles in both kickboxing and Muay Thai, and more recently won the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix in MMA.

It appears to be a daunting task, but “Shadow Cat” feels up to it. In fact, she doesn’t think the Fairtex superstar will present more difficult problems than her recent foes.

The Malaysian stated:

“I’m really feeling positive about this. I feel Stamp is a good opponent, a solid fighter, but she’s probably the worst of the fighters that I have [faced recently] after fighting against a couple of legit fighters [in Mei Yamaguchi and Itsuki Hirata].

“To her credit, she’s a two-division World Champion, she’s a top-ranked contender, so I will make sure I’m very sharp at what I do when we fight.”

Jihin Radzuan Not Fazed By Stamp Fairtex’s Striking

Stamp Fairtex started her career on the global stage by winning the ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Titles, but Jihin Radzuan isn’t overawed by those accolades.

After studying her rival, the Malaysian believes that Stamp’s stand-up game is overrated and feels well-equipped to handle it.

She told ONEFC.com:

“I think the way she sells herself as this feared Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion makes everyone think that her striking is so good. It isn’t right up there, but it’s good. One thing I can say about her striking is that it’s fast. Her hands, her kicks, and elbows can come at you quickly.

“It will work against women who are unsure on how to strike. As for me, I do know how to handle it.

“But I would not want to discredit her striking. If I cannot handle it well when we fight, it’s going to be troublesome and stressful to deal with.”

Above all, Jihin prides herself on being a well-rounded MMA competitor and is comfortable fighting in any range.

She will also carry plenty of positive momentum into this match and expects to leave Singapore with a fourth straight victory – perhaps even a dominant one.

“Shadow Cat” added:

“If it ends up in a striking fight, the battle will be won by who can stay patient and land the bigger and most powerful shots. On the ground, if I’m lacking that killer instinct, I think she can [compete] with me there.

“But if I do everything as planned, she doesn’t stand a chance at all.”
