Sinsamut, Seksan Get New Opponents For ONE Fight Night 16 On Prime Video
Muay Thai stars Sinsamut Klinmee and Seksan Or Kwanmuang have both received new opponents for their matches at ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video in U.S. primetime this Friday, November 3.
Sinsamut, who was originally scheduled to rematch Liam Nolan, will now go head-to-head with WBC Muay Thai World Champion Mouhcine Chafi in a key lightweight clash.
Meanwhile, Seksan will square off with ISKA Kickboxing World Champion Karim Bennoui in a 140-pound catchweight contest in place of previously scheduled foe Johan Estupinan.
Both Chafi and Bennoui will bring elite credentials into their promotional debuts at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Known as “The Assassin,” Chafi owns a 31-5-2 professional record and a five-bout winning streak. The Spanish-Moroccan striker is coming off a career milestone, as he finished former ONE Championship athlete Miles Simson to claim the WBC Light Heavyweight Muay Thai World Title in July.
This Friday, he will look to make a statement against former two-time ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title challenger Sinsamut – and potentially earn a crack at divisional titleholder Regian Eersel.
Bennoui is also carrying some incredible momentum into the world’s largest martial arts organization. The French-Algerian athlete sports a 41-16-3 professional slate and is riding his own five-bout winning streak into Friday’s contest.
In addition, “The Surgeon” owns victories over former ONE World Title challengers Sergio Wielzen and Daniel Puertas.
Now, Bennoui joins the global stage of ONE Championship, and he can make an instant impact by defeating a four-time Muay Thai World Champion in Seksan, who’s put together an impressive 6-0 record in the promotion.
