Superbon Vs. Allazov Featherweight Kickboxing World Title Fight Rebooked For ONE On Prime Video 5
The long-awaited ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship bout between Superbon Singha Mawynn and Chingiz Allazov has officially been rebooked for Friday, December 2.
Allazov will challenge Superbon for the divisional gold at ONE on Prime Video 5, which airs live in U.S. primetime from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Allazov earned this World Title opportunity by winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix in March.
However, he was forced to withdraw from his original matchup with Superbon at ONE on Prime Video 2 due to injury.
And although Tayfun Ozcan briefly stepped up to challenge for the throne, Superbon also withdrew during fight week, so neither man competed at the September event. As a result, #1-ranked Allazov will finally get his shot at the Thai superstar’s belt.
Superbon – who is riding a 12-fight winning streak – defeated Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in his ONE debut to earn his own shot at the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title.
He then claimed the strap with ONE’s 2021 Knockout of the Year against Italian legend Giorgio Petrosyan and made his first successful defense against old rival Marat Grigorian with a one-sided decision.
Allazov is also on a hot streak. He bounced back from a tight defeat to Enriko Kehl by dominating the biggest kickboxing tournament in the world.
“Chinga” punched his ticket to the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Championship Final with back-to-back knockouts over Samy Sana and Jo Nattawut, before winning the silver belt with a unanimous decision against Sitthichai.
He and Superbon have already spent a full training camp getting ready for one another, so they’ll be twice as prepared when they meet for the gold on December 2.
Meanwhile, two other exciting bouts have already been announced for ONE on Prime Video 5 in Manila.
The event will feature a ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title unification bout between Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and Janet Todd, while Croatian superstar Roberto Soldic will make his ONE debut against unbeaten Russian Murad Ramazanov in a welterweight MMA clash
