Tial Thang Anticipates An Even Better Performance In Malaysia

Myanmar sensation Tial Thang makes his debut in ONE back in March 2019

“The Dragon Leg” Tial Thang is confident he can deliver the best performance of his career this Friday, 6 December, thanks to the guidance he has received from one of the promotion’s brightest stars.

He relocated from Baltimore, Maryland to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to train at Hard Knocks 365 ahead of ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS, where two-division ONE World Champion and his Myanmar compatriot Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang has taken him under his wing.

Confidence is at an all-time high in the camp following his mentor’s knockout victory over ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera in October, and Tial Thang is ready to keep the momentum going when he squares off against “The Kid” Kim Woon Kyoum at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“I have prepared my best for this match,” the 26-year-old says.

“I left my family and moved to Florida to train with Aung La N Sang. Aung La is a World Champion, and there are many trainers in the club.”

It has been nine months since Tial Thang, a four-time Chin State Wrestling Champion, defeated Cambodian veteran Rin Saroth via unanimous decision in his mixed martial arts debut at ONE: REIGN OF VALOR.

Though he dominated a more experienced rival in front of his countrymen in Yangon, Myanmar, “The Dragon Leg” was not fully satisfied. Since that tilt, the bantamweight has evolved and intends to deliver an even better showing in the Malaysian capital.

“A man thinks what he is doing is right, but the reality is another story, so Aung La pointed out my weak points. He gave me valuable advice daily,” he reveals.

“For this match, I got the chance to prepare for about two or three months, therefore I will finish it in a very beautiful style to get my victory.

Ahead of the Yangon bout, I said which round I would defeat my opponent in. But now, I won’t say when the match will be finished.”

Tial Thang has seen how Aung La N Sang has electrified their homeland with his World Championship-winning performances, and he wants to use his second outing on the global stage to continue his own path to the belt.

Being around greatness has given the rising star even more motivation to succeed, but it is something he wants to share with his people. He wants to unite the people of Myanmar, alongside “The Burmese Python,” to bring even more glory to “The Golden Land.”

With the support of his compatriots, “The Dragon Leg” believes he can reach the top and make the fine folks of his nation proud.

“This bout is very important – not only for me, but also for my family. Furthermore, it is a really important match for our country,” Tial Thang states.

“One day, I will be a World Champion and I will bring victories to Myanmar. This coming Friday, I request my fans — Myanmar people in Malaysia — to come and support me. It really matters to get the support of our fans.”
