Timofey Nastyukhin Vs. Zhang Lipeng Set For ONE Fight Night 15 On October 6

A pair of veteran finishers are set to throw down in a lightweight mixed martial arts contest at ONE Fight Night 15 on Prime Video.

On Friday, October 6, live in North American primetime, fan-favorite brawler Timofey Nastyukhin will square off with Chinese star “The Warrior” Zhang Lipeng as both men look to add to their extensive highlight reels.

Beloved for his ultra-aggressive, fearless approach, Nastyukhin hopes to prove he is much more than just an entertainer and still belongs among the lightweight MMA division’s elite.

The Russian suffered the first of three consecutive losses back in 2021 when he was knocked out by reigning ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian Lee.

And though his subsequent defeats have come against top-five contenders, the 33-year-old knows a victory over Zhang is critical if he wants to earn another crack at the gold.

“The Warrior,” though, will certainly be no pushover.

A veteran of more than 45 professional fights and one of the division’s most well-rounded finishers, he possesses the world-class skills needed to compete with the best of the best.

Indeed, the Chinese athlete kicked off his ONE tenure in spectacular fashion, taking a decision win over former ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Eduard Folayang.

But like his opponent, Zhang comes into this matchup following a defeat, suffering his first loss in ONE last September against surging Russian sensation Saygid Izagakhmaev.

In short, both athletes – both respected and revered for their thrilling styles – will be fighting to show they have what it takes to contend in the division going forward.
