Todd Tests Positive For COVID, World Title Unification Fight With Rodrigues Postponed From ONE On Prime Video 5
Two-sport queen Janet Todd will have to wait a little bit longer to make her big debut on Amazon Prime Video Sports.
Todd was originally scheduled to face Brazilian striker Allycia Hellen Rodrigues in a ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title unification match at ONE on Prime Video 5 this Friday, December 2, but the American tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result, the contest has been removed from the lineup and will be held at a later date.
Though Todd will no longer be competing at ONE on Prime Video 5, fans will still be treated to a women’s Muay Thai clash on the main card.
In fact, the match between “JT’s” training partner, Jackie Buntan, and British standout Amber Kitchen has now been elevated from the lead card.
Also, the heavyweight MMA contest between Senegalese Wrestling Champion “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane and undefeated behemoth Jasur Mirzamukhamedov has been moved from ONE 164 on Saturday to the ONE on Prime Video 5 lead card.
In addition, Matias Farinelli tested positive for COVID-19 and has been removed from his bantamweight MMA fight with fellow unbeaten phenom Jhanlo Sangiao at ONE 164.
Replacing Farinelli will be ONE Warrior Series: Philippines alum Anacleto Lauron, who will fight Sangiao in a 150-pound catchweight bout.
