Twin Phenoms Johan and Jordan Estupinan Vow To Deliver ‘The Two Most Exciting Fights’ At ONE 170

Twin brothers Johan Estupinan and Jordan Estupinan are on a mission to take ONE Championship’s Muay Thai divisions by storm.

On January 24 in Asia primetime, the Colombian phenoms will each showcase their explosive and entertaining brand of striking at ONE 170 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

First up, Jordan will make his highly anticipated promotional debut against British sensation Freddie Haggerty. Later on in the card, Johan will look to keep his unblemished professional record intact when he squares off with Malaysian-American prodigy Johan “Jojo” Ghazali. Both matchups will take place at flyweight.

Known as “Panda Kick,” Johan has already enjoyed a meteoric rise in the world’s largest martial arts organization. The 22-year-old has been dominant through his four promotional appearances, scoring three highlight-reel knockouts while gaining legions of fans with his unorthodox and wildly aggressive style.

He promises to showcase that same fearless style against the 18-year-old Ghazali, who is regarded as one of Muay Thai’s most talented young strikers:

“I will give it my all from the start of the first round. The world knows that my fights always start explosively. I’m going to be explosive all three rounds, and that’s if the fight even goes the distance. This will be like two trains clashing against each other, only my train will leave a bigger impact.”

Notably, Johan holds a 2021 decision victory over Ghazali’s brother. With that in mind, “Jojo” has said he’s seeking revenge at ONE 170 – but the Colombian insists that simply won’t happen.

“Panda Kick” said:

“Another brother must be born. Another brother must be born so that he can also look for revenge, and I could defeat him. Make sure the third brother looks for revenge, too, because ‘Jojo’ won’t accomplish it.”

Ultimately, there’s no doubt in Estupinan’s mind that his clash with Ghazali will be a barnburner for as long as it lasts, and that he’ll leave Bangkok as an undefeated fighter.

He added:

“I’ve never lost, and I’ll never lose because I don’t have a loser’s mindset. We’ll see each other on the 24th of January. I want us to hit each other from the start of the first round, and I want us to try and kill each other.”

By that same token, “Panda Kick” expects his brother to deliver an equally thrilling performance.

For him, fighting on the same lineup as his twin – on the biggest stage of martial arts – represents a dream come true:

“I feel so proud of [Jordan] because he’s such a great fighter. I’m always shocked by his abilities during sparring, and I’m just so happy that we’re sharing the same card together. We’re going to have the two most exciting fights of the night.”

Jordan Estupinan: ‘I’m Going To Show My Explosivity’

Jordan Estupinan has been there every step of the way for his brother’s journey in ONE, and he fully intends to follow in those footsteps.

Naturally, he said they’ve prepared for their respective bouts at ONE 170 together:

“Johan and I always train together, so whenever he was preparing for a fight inside of ONE, I’ve been there preparing with him. As he’s improved, I’ve improved as well. We have the same goals and dreams, so we’re going into our fights fully prepared.”

While Jordan’s clash against Freddie Haggerty will take place at flyweight, he plans to eventually move up to bantamweight and avoid the need to compete with his brother.

Regardless of weight class, the promotional newcomer has his sights set on one ultimate goal – becoming a ONE World Champion:

“My goal is to win the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title and bring the title to Colombia. I want to increase the exposure of Muay Thai in Colombia, and I want people in Latin America to take notice of how great the Estupinan twins are.”

Just like his brother, Jordan said that fans can expect nonstop action once he enters the Circle. Don’t blink, he added, because a quick finish is coming on Friday:

“I’m going to go in and get the knockout in the first or second round. As soon as the bell rings, I’m going to show my explosivity.”
