Martial Arts Superstars Nail The Bottle Challenge
Most people are staying home to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but there are lots of fun challenges to conquer during your time in quarantine.
Some people are participating in the ‘Pew Pew Pew Challenge’ on TikTok, while couples are embracing the ‘Koala Challenge’ on Instagram.
For the martial arts heroes of ONE Championship, their social media competition of choice happens to be the ‘Bottle Challenge.’
The idea is to balance a bottle on your foot, flick it into the air, and kick it with the same leg. It may sound easy, but it is difficult to execute.
Here are some of our athletes’ best efforts yet.
Itsuki Hirata
Itsuki “Strong Heart Fighter” Hirata practices social distancing in the streets of Tokyo and kicks the water bottle away (but then retrieves it because littering is bad).
Phoe Thaw
Phoe “Bushido” Thaw is very careful and calculated when he stretches out his extremely long leg. However, the Yangon hero shows no mercy when he uncorks his roundhouse kick.

Thanh Le
Thanh Le maintains his perfect balance in his home gym, extends his leg, and karate kicks the water bottle away.
Thanh Le (Bonus)
The Vietnamese-American featherweight contender channels his inner “Super Saiyan,” lightly taps a water bottle off a freestanding heavy bag, and spin kicks it away.
